Sensitisation/Sensitivity

25 total views, 1 views today

When a persons stressor load is too high, (as is the case when people are experiencing toxicity and also exhaustion)  the nervous system and immune system becomes woundup and hypersensitive (sensitised) to threats and potential threats to well being, like

  • an allergen,
  • substance or chemical
  • pathogen- mold, bacteria, virus
  • food chemical,
  • noise, smell, touch, temperature or other sensory stimuli,
  • movement – if exhausted or injured.

High exposures and repetitve exposures without disruption may lead to a heightening of sensitivities and sensitivity related symptoms.
